Broken-HeartedWe were wrapped in each other's eyes (or rapt) wearing away the hours of the night. The conversation wound from Government to God 'round the family of origin and all the way back to Mars. And when the time came to leave the place, the two left standing were us, and IBroken-Hearted
realized then that I had fallen in love
"But wait," you said, as we departed, "What's your name again?" I replied, "I'm Broken-Hearted."

My dad rode that Suzuki until I was 14, when he bought a brand-new Fat Boy Soft Tail. The bike was mean looking. If it had spikes coming out of the side, it couldn't have looked more like a fighting machine. The leather seat was studded and the chrome shined like glass. The suspension stiffened out in front of the bike and held rigid the fat front tire that gave the bike it's name. Two thick, simple leather saddlebags hugged the sides. At the time, it was the newest of the Soft Tails and I was proud to hop on the back, learning quickly to ride without a sissy bar.

I learned how to lean at about ten years old. Nervous as hell, I was just about as stiff as a board on the back of that blue Suzuki, a nearly antiquated bike my dad had bought off of a friend. If he had had his choice, he would have gotten a Harley, a real cruiser-something he could put pipes on and sit in Harley Row at the various events we went to. Something his helmet wouldn't be stolen off of just for not being a Harley. Because there's just something about those bikes, a spirit almost, that demands respect from other riders. But first, I had to learn how to ride.

A WagerEverything I have is on the table Everything banked on this one last move I'm sacrificing the last will in me And I know exactly what I'll lose I'm putting it down on the table Because I can't keep it by holding on In the end, if it works, it is worth it Until then, the dice must roll on.A Wager

Dear Yes on Prop 8 SupportersDear Yes on 8 supporters, Hey there. Im going to go out on a limb here that most of you are feeling pretty proud of yourselves right now, patting each other on the back for your near victory of 3%. It must feel good to win huh? God knows I would be proud too if I woke up to find that my vote had such an impact on thousands upon thousands of people. I must say, Id be pretty elated over the defeat of the USs strides for separation of church and state, the victory over the very things our fore fathers fought and died for the things our country was founded on, Yes, I have to say, Id be pretty enthrDear Yes on Prop 8 Supporters
